G3CT update for the first quarter of 2024
In the first quarter of 2024 G3CT was focused on the Scale Up Trial Project with the purpose to further validate application of Schwing Technologies equipment for implementing G3C Process and producing extended amount of reinforcing G3C rCB for advanced application trials.
- G3CT prepared and conducted several Scale Up Pilot batch production processes using G3C method and a Schwing Scale Up Pilot at the Schwing location in Germany. Each batch process used a different configuration and produced raw rCB material with different colloidal properties.
- The Scale Up Pilot Trial Project used the same pyrolysis char feedstock as previously conducted Small Scale Pilot Trial. The trial has demonstrated full consistency of the Scale Up Pilot and the Small-Scale Pilot implementations of G3C method.
- The produced rCB was sent for further milling (Hosokawa Alpine, Germany) and pelletizing (Hosokawa Micron, Netherlands). The Scale Up Pilot Trial Project is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2024 by delivering the produced pelletized reinforcing G3C rCB for use in real rubber applications trials.
